Sassy grandmother, 94, takes brutal revenge on granddaughters who ignored her call

A brazen 90-year-old has taken brutal revenge on her granddaughters for ignoring her phone call.

Sofia Theodoridis, 94, was out running errands when she called her grandchildren Sophie, 24, and Vickie, 22, to ask if they would like to help her tend to her garden.

But when the sisters didn’t respond, Sofia from Connecticut immediately began plotting revenge.

She decided to lock Sophie and Vickie out and the duo filmed the moment they begged to be let back in.

Sofia, who is retired, said: ‘It’s good that I let them walk around like that, they deserved it!’

“They need to learn to take my calls and not ignore them.”

Sophie and Vickie live with their Yiayia – which means grandmother in Greek – together with their parents and two other siblings.

Vickie said: ‘Our Yiayia is very close to all of her grandchildren, but growing up with her has only made our bond with her stronger.

‘I personally spend more time with her than with people my own age.

“She always tells me not to do that, but I tell her she feels more like a sister to me than a grandmother.”

Yiayia Sofia is, as her granddaughters say, “the most typical Greek woman” and she always works hard to take care of others.

Vickie added: ‘She honestly has more energy than we do. I get tired just looking at her.

‘She is constantly on the move and hates having nothing to do.’

Sofia, who moved from Ptolmaida, Greece, to Connecticut in the early 1980s, worked in various factories until she retired in her late sixties.

Now she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and making videos for social media.

Sofia said: ‘I was a little hesitant when my granddaughters suggested making online videos because I didn’t know what to expect.

‘Now I love it. I love the reactions and attention we get from people.

‘I also really like it when someone recognizes me on the street!’
