Jennie Garth reunites with ex-husband Peter Facinelli for ‘Family Day Out’ – after revealing they are ‘officially friends now’
There is more goodwill flowing between Jennie Garth and Peter Facinelli following their recent conversation about family and marriage on her I Choose Me podcast.
On Sunday, the former Beverly Hills, 90210 star took to her Instagram page to share that the former couple had reunited for a family boat outing in honor of July 4. Their three daughters were also in attendance: Luca, 27, Lola, 21, and Fiona, 17.
And if I understand correctly, the two sealed their new friendship after some difficult times in the past, which led to them splitting in 2012 and divorcing the following year, after about 12 years of marriage.
“So if you’ve been listening to this week’s update on the I Choose Me podcast, you know that there have been some BIG changes since my ex, Peter Facinelli, and I got on the podcast to talk all things co-parenting, divorce, and including loved ones in our kids’ lives,” the actress wrote in the caption.
Garth, 52, told the podcast how she hoped their difficult conversation would “bring about some positive changes in both of our families’ lives,” but confessed, “I honestly didn’t think we would get to this point!”

Facinelli organized their afternoon out together on the water a week after he and Garth aired their long-running grievances when they discussed family matters on her I Choose Me podcast last week
âWe had a great day out with the whole family,â Garth continued, adding: âIt was a beautiful day and it made my heart so happy to see the girls so happy!â
The Urbana, Illinois, resident also mentioned her husband Dave Abrams: “We missed you guys, man,” before joking, “I’m still in shock no one got pushed overboard! #goodluck.”
She even thanked her ex-husband: “Thank you for organizing @peterfacinelli,” she concluded with a series of hashtags: “#IChooseMe #family #reunited #lifeafterdivorce.”
The cover photo showed The Twilight alum and his ex-wife leaning on the side of the boat, next to the anchor, with their three daughters, all of whom had broad smiles on their faces.
There’s also a cute snap of the sisters posing together for the camera while holding their 21-month-old brother Jack, the son of their father and his fiancĂ©e Lilly Anne Harrison.
Facinelli began dating Harrison in 2016, following the breakup of his relationship with Jaimie Alexander. They eventually got engaged in January 2020, just two months before COVID-19 was declared a pandemic.
Harrison, a 35-year-old actress, gave birth to their son Jack in September 2022.

Fanicelli first met Garth on the set of the television film An Unfinished Affair (1995). They began dating shortly thereafter, eventually tying the knot in a traditional ceremony in January 2001.
In June 1997, four years before they made their union official, they welcomed their first daughter Luca. About a year later, in December 2002, Lola was born. Fiona made her grand entrance on planet Earth in September 2006.
Garth, who was previously married to Daniel B. Clark for two years before divorcing in 1996, rebounded from her second divorce from Facinelli by beginning a romance with actor David Abrams in 2014 after they met on a blind date.
A year later they got engaged and eventually married in July 2015.
The couple went through a difficult period: in 2017 they separated and the following year they filed for divorce. Eventually they reconciled and the divorce proceedings were dismissed in February 2019.

Just last week, Garth announced that she is now “officially friends” with Facinelli after speaking candidly on her podcast about their life together and their divorce.
During the latest episode of I Choose Me, which premiered last Monday, the former What I Like About You actress revealed that Facinelli has now lifted her block on Instagram.
‘I just want to share something with you guys real quick. The good that came out of this pod… but specifically the episode with my ex Peter. âGuys, we’re officially friends now,â Garth admitted.
“He even unblocked me on Instagram. I’ve been blocked on his socials for so long that I stopped caring years ago. But now I’m unblocked. That’s big news,” Garth added.
