England star Jude Bellingham brutally mocked by Switzerland fan live on air during Euro 2024 quarter-final clash

Television cameras captured Jude Bellingham being brutally taunted by a Swiss fan during England’s quarter-final at Euro 2024 on Saturday.

The England star was involved in a one-on-one battle with Fabian Schar in the first half and tried to break away from the Swiss defender.

Schar put his arm around Bellingham, after which the England midfielder grabbed Schar’s shoulder and fell to the ground.

He was awarded a free kick and Schar was shown a yellow card for the foul, but one supporter clearly thought it was too soft.

As the cameras panned to the crowd, a fan was seen imitating the crying Bellingham, unfazed by his fall to the ground.

Bellingham has been in the spotlight over the past week after his last-minute bicycle kick kept England in the last-16 of the European Championship against Slovakia last week.

His celebration caused controversy as it appeared he made a rude gesture to grab the Slovakian bench by the crotch.

Bellingham denied he intended to offend anyone, but UEFA subsequently launched an investigation.

He escaped a suspension, as UEFA fined Bellingham £25,000 and gave him a one-match suspended ban.

Bellingham scored twice in Germany this summer and also scored the winning goal for England in the opening match against Serbia, before last weekend’s heroics.
