Red Hot Chili Peppers fans are outraged after the band announced they would be adding more dates to their Australia tour with Post Malone next year, but skipped a major city.

The band will go Down Under from January to February 2023 to perform in large stadiums.

The tour will include performances in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Auckland and Dunedin, but the group will not be traveling to Adelaide, Hobart or Darwin.

A handful of fans took to social media to express their disappointment that the legendary rock band will not be going to South Australia during their stay.

‘”Australian” tour,” the Instagram account @justadelaidethings sarcastically captioned a message from the tour announcement.

“Such a shame SA is going wrong again,” commented one user.

‘So annoying !!!’ added another.

“As with most things that come to Australia,” one fan complained.

Other fans kept hoping the band will make an appearance in Festival City, noting that there is a gap in dates between shows.

By popular demand they have added second shows for Sydney and Melbourne.

The band’s Melbourne-born bassist Flea hinted earlier this year that they would be touring Australia soon.

He told The Daily Telegraph at the time: ‘We’ll definitely be there.

“We’re all fully booked until the end of this year, so I don’t think we can get there this year.”

It’s been four years since Post Malone last performed in Australia and Red Hot Chili Peppers haven’t toured Down Under since 2019.

At the ceremony, drummer Chad Smith called previous members of the band because “they’re all part of our journey.”

Anthony Kiedis added that the band’s story is “not a story of individuals.”

“Something happens when we come together that is much greater than the individual parts, we are much greater than the sum of our parts,” Kiedis said.
