Aussie Paralympics boss QUITS just eight weeks before Paris Games for mystery reason

The chief executive of Paralympics Australia (PA) has resigned for unknown reasons, just eight weeks before the start of the Olympic Games in Paris.
Catherine Clark’s resignation comes a day after the official launch of the Australian Paralympic team at Parliament House in Canberra.
Clark has been on leave since early June, for reasons not disclosed to staff, a spokesperson for Paralympics Australia (PA) told AAP.
Clark resigned on Wednesday after PA staff were informed of her decision at a full staff meeting, which was told to her by the organisation’s chair, Alison Creagh.
The Paralympic Games in Paris will begin on August 28, following the Olympic Games in the French capital from July 26 to August 11.
Clark, who took up her new role in February 2022, did not provide details of her resignation in a statement seen by PA.
“It is a tremendous honour to be part of the Australian Paralympic Movement,” Clark said in the statement.

Her decision comes just weeks before the Paralympic Games in Paris

Cameron Murray, head of commercial affairs, communications and brand at PA, has been appointed interim CEO.
