Were YOU guilty of eyebrow blindness? Horrified women share hilarious throwback photos showing off their wild looks

Over the past few decades, there have been countless eyebrow trends that have taken the beauty world by storm.

From the thin ‘sperm’ brows of the early 2000s to the Kylie Jenner-inspired ‘block brows’ of 2016 and the pointed soap brows of today, we’ve seen it all.

And we haven’t even mentioned all the viral products that have been released, like the Anastasia Brow Dip and the Wunderbrow gel.

But if you look back at your previous eyebrow styles from over the years, you might be thinking, “What the heck was I doing?”

Now TikTok has come up with a name for it, and it’s called ‘eyebrow blindness’.

When you look back at your previous eyebrow styles from the past few years, you may think, “What the hell was I doing?!” TikTok has come up with a name for this: ‘eyebrow blindness’

Medical aesthetician Cassandra Bankson explained the term to USA todaywho defines it as ‘being blind to something that is trendy’ [but] not necessarily good for long-term health or beauty.’

Comedian Taylor Tomlinson also spoke about the phenomenon during a recent episode of her show, After Midnight, on CBS.

She joked that it was an “all too common medical problem” where you can’t tell that your eyebrows “look crazy.”

The viral term has taken over the app, with countless users posting some truly hilarious and shocking videos of what their eyebrows used to look like.

And it seems people also suffered from a wide range of ‘forehead blindness’, from super thin to super fat to barely visible.

One TikTok user mentioned Bryn Sato took to the app to show off her stunning ‘brow blindness’ in a video that has now been viewed more than 4.2 million times.

“I think I’m winning the eyebrow blindness trend,” she wrote in the clip.

Sato showed viewers what her eyebrows looked like now — dark and full — and then dramatically flashed back to how they used to look, when they were extremely thin at the tips and thick at the inner corners.

She described it as ‘being blind to something that is trendy’ [but] not necessarily good for long-term health or beauty.’

Viewers went wild in the comments. Many admitted that their jaws dropped when they saw these photos.

A few were even compared to apostrophes.

“I HAVE SNORED,” one person wrote.

Another agreed: “Yes, you win.”

“The apostrophes nooooo I had bricks bro,” someone else joked.

But TikTok creator Jenell Hitch Garrett had the opposite problem.

She showed off some hilarious photos of what her eyebrows used to look like. She penciled them in so they looked extremely thick and blocky.

Garrett admitted in the caption that she wished someone had stopped her.

The TikTok video has now been viewed more than 3.5 million times and many people responded with amazement.

“Your real eyebrow peeking through, like ‘It’s me! Jessica! I’m here!'” one viewer typed.

“The fact that you can see your natural brown through the pencil color because the color doesn’t match well,” another wrote.

Another TikTok user, Katie Gray, was also affected by the anomaly, but in a very unique way.

Gray showed that she outlined the tops of her eyebrows with a pencil, but didn’t fill them in completely — sending viewers into a vicious circle.

“It’s like you got bored halfway through,” someone else wrote.

Another wondered: ‘Are you just tired and didn’t finish?’

“Girl… blending is a thing,” one user commented.

It was a great contrast to her blonde hair at the time.

Izzy wrote in the comments that someone had compared her old eyebrows to potato wedges, jokingly “further traumatizing her.”
