Parents outraged as Aussie mums Nicole Kidman and Naomi Watts attend Balenciaga Paris Fashion Week show after child abuse scandal: ‘As mothers they should be ashamed’
Australian mothers Nicole Kidman and Naomi Watts have been drafted to attend the Balenciaga Paris Fashion Week show following the brand’s child abuse scandal.
The glamorous actresses both showed off their impeccable fashion sense as they arrived at the event on Wednesday.
But many parents expressed their outrage at the famous duo for attending a fashion show of the controversial brand.
“I just can’t believe anyone, especially a parent, would associate themselves with this brand. Let alone GIVE them positive publicity and support,” one person wrote.
“What bad taste to associate with this brand,” another commented.
‘Eew. Balenciaga is not like us,” a third agreed, while one said: “Supportive [this] brand. How predictable.’
Nicole, 57, showed off her statuesque physique at the event in a figure-hugging black dress encrusted with sparkling beads.
She enhanced her 6-foot frame with a pair of black high heels and was joined by her daughter Sunday Rose, 15, her eldest daughter with husband Keith Urban.

The Oscar winner blew kisses to the crowd of adoring fans outside as she hid her eyes behind a pair of rectangular sunglasses.
While her BFF Naomi, 55, looked every bit a movie star in a white blazer with a structured collar, allowing a sultry look at her cleavage.
The Impossible star added a matching pencil skirt and dangling pearl earrings, taking the chic white glove look to the next level.
She styled her short blonde hair in elegant curls and wore oversized shades and a touch of pink lipstick.
