California mother is arrested for confronting drag queens at Hawaii hotel over ‘inappropriate’ Pride show
A University of California, Davis, employee was briefly arrested after she was seen aggressively confronting drag performers at a resort in Hawaii.
Beth Bourne, program director at UC Davis’ Institute of Transportation Studies, was filmed fuming at drag queens after seeing them at the Alohilani Resort in Waikīkī, where they were scheduled to perform for a pride event.
Bourne, leader of the conservative group Moms for Liberty, became enraged after noticing the drag queens in the lobby and accused the hotel of failing to provide a safe environment for her son.

“I’m sorry, but I paid to be a customer at a hotel where I thought you believed women actually existed,” the activist shouted as she held up her phone to record the drag queens.
‘Because you have makeup on, high heels, a Barbie outfit, you don’t find this humiliating.
She added: ‘This is misogyny… if you give me my money back now I will leave the hotel, but I won’t let my children come down from the 30th floor to see what’s happening here.’
Bourne then asked the performers their names and said she wants to know who they are as a hotel employee tries to escort her away.
‘Are you a man?’ she asked one of them. “What do you think of my son who might think he can wear makeup, nice clothes, high heels, have his penis cut off, and take estrogen so he can grow fake breasts?”
One of the artists, named Marina Del Rey, shared a video of the incident on social media, saying Bourne attacked his group.

He said on Instagram: ‘There was some preliminary dialogue from her prior to what I filmed and she was eventually taken off the property by the police.
‘I would like to say a huge thank you to the resort for your care and concern during and after, to all of us…. those within the witness – guest or staff – many have shown their compassion, for which I am very grateful…
“We’re all okay. A little shocked and saddened, but grateful for the people we were with and everyone who reached out to us. and still keep faith in humanity.’
Marina Del Rey explained that the group was in the lobby to film a video in which they played the roles of hotel staff.
‘This woman saw us filming, got slowly burned and then disappeared. Her tirade went on and on – possibly in an attempt to get a furious, angry response,” the artist added.
Bourne became an anti-trans activist after ending her relationship with her non-binary eldest of two children
DailyMail.com has contacted UC Davis and the Alohilani Resort for comment on this story.
Many social media users have demanded that Bourne be fired from UC Davis following her recorded actions.
Elaine Vinton said on Facebook: “To all my CA friends, I urge you to contact UC Davis Human Resources and file a complaint regarding their employment with Beth Bourne, the president of Moms For Liberty, Davis CA.
“She harasses students and staff, citing, among other things, UC Davis’ practice of cutting off the penises of male children. She is an unhinged fanatic who threatens the LGBTQ+ community. Please call!’
Bourne is a controversial figure, claiming without evidence on her social media accounts that “1/22 kids are transgender” at UC Davis.

“Several other hotel guests at Alohilani told me they also found it offensive, so I spoke to the manager yesterday. I was briefly detained by the police, got my hotel costs refunded and don’t regret saying anything.
“If we can be heard, this will be over.”
