The posts, 800 miles from Cologne, Germany, indicated she will not be cheering on Jude when England take on Slovenia on Tuesday at 8pm.

However, the Mail on Thursday revealed the mystery surrounding their ‘romance’ – as they don’t appear to be in a relationship at all.

Instead, weeks of rumors were sparked by a publicity stunt orchestrated by an opportunistic director of Manchester-based clothing company PrettyLittleThing, where Laura is a model.

It was during a glamorous lingerie photo shoot in Madrid that she apparently confided in makeup artists and hairdressers that she and twenty-year-old Bellingham had become close.

In details believed to have been leaked by the company to a red top newspaper, 25-year-old Laura is said to be ‘completely in love’ and has been spending time at his home in the Spanish city where he plays for Real Madrid.

Although neither party has responded to reports of a relationship, the pair have still not been seen together two months after Laura’s photoshoot and there are claims that Jude is still on exclusive dating app Raya.

A source close to PrettyLittleThing said that when bosses heard she knew Jude, a company employee contacted the newspaper.

“The world has been waiting for a glimpse of Laura, but it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen. She seems to be doing her own thing in Paris and having a good old time too.”

Jude’s impact on the pitch has been undeniable and according to one expert, he could soon eclipse future teammate Kylian Mbappe as the sport’s most valuable star.
