YouTube’s Stable Volume is now available on Android TV devices β here’s everything you need to know about the update your ears might love

Google is helping the public by expanding YouTube’s Stable Volume feature from the mobile app to “Android TV and Google TV devices.” It’s a handy tool that automatically adjusts “the volume of the videos you watch” without you having to pick up your remote. according to 9To5Google.
That story explains that Stable Volume provides a consistent listening experience βby continuously balancing the volume range between soft and loud areasβ in a video. After installing YouTube version 4.40.303 on their Android TV screen, they discovered the feature.
If you select the gear icon when a video is playing, you should see Stable Volume as an option in the Settings menu. It’s between the subtitles and the playback speed function.
It’s enabled by default, but you can deactivate it at any time by selecting it while viewing content. 9To5Google recommends turning off Stable Volume when listening to music or playing a video with a “detailed audio mix.” If it is then activated, it could potentially affect the sound quality. Plus, YouTube Music isn’t on Android TV or Google TV hardware, so you don’t have a dedicated space just for songs.
We should mention that the official YouTube help page for Stable Volume states that it is not available for all videos and the music will not be negatively affected either. We believe this comment is outdated as it also states that the tool is exclusive to the YouTube mobile app. It is entirely possible that the versions on Android TV and Google TV behave differently.
