Cops discover disabled school bus towing a trailer filled with farm animals… and were sickened to find what they were REALLY being used for

Animal welfare workers in Pennsylvania have revealed how they rescued animals used for bestiality from a dilapidated school bus and trailer.

Police contacted SPCA officials after discovering the disabled school bus, which contained 30 birds, including chickens, roosters, ducks and turkeys.

Three German Shepherds and an Australian Shepherd were also recovered from the vehicle.

A bull and a pony were found in the trailer attached to the back of the bus – which officials said was “used for bestiality purposes.”

They added that the chickens were used to feed the dogs.

The local SPCA stated on Facebook: “This is a difficult situation that we don’t encounter often, and it’s something we hope we never experience again.”

The message added: ‘I’m not going to go into details because like I said, it was a really tough day.

“This is not something we see every day and it is not something we ever want to see again.

“The Adams County SPCA is closed to the public until further notice. We need a few days to take care of the animals and give them the help they deserve!’

Sean Hershbein was taken into custody after police reviewed outstanding warrants in another state. And an unknown woman remained behind the vehicle.

Due to Herbein’s past transgressions, all animals will be tested for human DNA. The testing is expected to cost about $10,000, which the state has agreed to pay for.

Fortunately, the SPCA said all the animals are in good physical condition, “considering what they’ve been through.”

However, the Adams County SPCA will be closed to the public until further notice as they prioritize the care of the rescued animals.

Donations to support the rescue efforts can be made to their website.

Facebook users in the comments section were shocked by what the SPCA posted, with some doctors offering mental health care to the SCPA workers who rescued the animals.

“Are SPCA staff/volunteers interviewed by a doctor after such events (as other first responders do)? If not, I want to make that available to all of you if possible,” one user said.

“As someone said in a comment above, it’s hard to turn off what you see when you go home, and some of the things you’re exposed to can be traumatic in themselves.”

A third wrote: “Every single person sickened by this disgusting situation needs to write to the people who are supposed to represent you in the state legislature.

‘We need tougher penalties for cruelty and puppy mills need to be closed down.’

“Praying for all the animals and those who responded. I can’t even imagine what you’re processing,” said another.
