Wrestling legend 2 Cold Scorpio ‘arrested over violent stabbing’ but ex-WWE star claims self defense

Wrestling legend 2 Cold Scorpio was reportedly arrested after violently stabbing a man during a fight at a gas station, but the 58-year-old insists he acted in self-defense.

Police reportedly found a man lying on the ground with blood coming from his head, chest, buttocks, legs and stomach. While unconscious, he was taken to hospital. The injuries are considered non-life-threatening.

The violence reportedly occurred earlier this month in Kansas City around 3:40 a.m. The former wrestler, whose real name is Charles Scaggs, told police he worked as a security guard at Love’s Travel Stop.

According to TMZScaggs admitted that during an altercation he pulled a knife from his pocket and stabbed him. The incident reportedly arose after Scaggs saw him lighting a cigarette in the store.

The stabbing victim claims he thought he had extinguished the smoke before entering the building, but told TMZ it may still have been lit.

It is alleged that Scaggs told the man he couldn’t smoke inside, but was threatened and asked, “F you, (what) the fuck are you going to do?”

According to TMZ, the two men walked out of the store, with Scaggs claiming the man tried to wrestle him.

The other man reportedly told police that Scaggs was the aggressor. The former wrestler was thrown in jail and charged with two felonies: first-degree assault and armed criminal action.

It is claimed he has pleaded not guilty to the charges and is due back in court next month.

Scaggs made his professional wrestling debut in 1985. Since then, he has competed in WWE, WCW, ECW, and in Japan – as 2 Cold Scorpio and Flash Funk – but has failed to earn the eye-watering salaries that some wrestlers have demanded.
