Djokovic underwent surgery on his right knee eighteen days ago in Paris after tearing his medial meniscus and now has to wait and see whether it is enough in time to play at Wimbledon.
Wimbledon’s social media accounts shared photos of Djokovic on Sunday evening, welcoming the seven-time champion.
“A seven-time champion emerges,” wrote Wimbledon on X.
Djokovic was pictured with support to his right knee and right elbow, but will be given a week to continue his recovery before the start of Wimbledon on July 1.

The 37-year-old will be looking to avenge his previous defeat in the men’s final against tennis prodigy Carlos Alcaraz, who claimed a stunning first Wimbledon title in four sets last year.
Djokovic has won no fewer than seven Grand Slams in his career at Wimbledon and is considered one of the best grass court players ever. He would be a huge miss if he does not participate in this year’s edition of the tournament.
He has competed in the past five finals and is working hard to extend that record, but whether the veteran will be among his rivals when Wimbledon begins on July 1 remains to be seen.
Two videos recently shared on social media by the serial major champion show Djokovic going through a series of exercises in the gym used to assess his fitness and recovery from surgery.

One of the video montages shows Djokovic going through a personalized plan of light exercises, combining resistance tools with his own body weight and testing the knees.
He looks comfortable and pain-free as he completes the routines, while his team monitors the results around him and family members also show their support.
Djokovic ends one of the videos by showing himself back on a tennis court, beaming at the camera and firing a series of shots over the net at his trainer.
As he informed his 14.6 million Instagram followers of his condition, Djokovic said: “I missed you. We continue to build day after day. Mood socks activated….’.
