Paddy Power has released a hilarious advert jokingly declaring Piers Morgan the ‘biggest Cristiano Ronaldo fanboy’ on the internet.
The video, shared on social media, describes Morgan as a “TV personality turned YouTuber” and features a satirical news broadcast ahead of what could prove to be Ronaldo’s last major tournament at international level.
The clip warns that Morgan will be obsessively tweeting about Ronaldo during the tournament and hilariously questions his affinity for the former Manchester United star as he has never played for a team Morgan supports.
Piers’ son, Mail Sport reporter Spencer Morgan, joins the broadcast.
Introduced as one of those closest to Piers who will be needed to provide emotional support to the veteran broadcaster ahead of what could prove to be Ronaldo’s swan song, Spencer hilariously describes the adoration of his father to Ronaldo as ‘cringeworthy’.

The tournament marks a record sixth appearance at the European Championships for Ronaldo and could be his last at international level
“It’s a tough time for him,” the younger Morgan explains.
‘He will sit on his bench every match in a full Portugal kit and sob uncontrollably.
‘He has been with Ronaldo through thick and thin and has shown a level of fandom that can only be described as chilling for a man his age.’
‘It will be a long, drawn-out and painful goodbye, but my father will stay strong and do what he does best… make Ronaldo’s last tournament all about him.’
Morgan and Ronaldo’s friendship dates back several years, and it was on Piers Morgan Uncensored that the Portuguese forward infamously aired his grievances against Manchester United before leaving the club.
In an explosive interview, Ronaldo claimed he felt ‘betrayed’ by United and detailed his tumultuous relationship with Erik ten Hag.
‘I have no respect for him [Ten Hag] because he shows no respect for me,” Ronaldo told Morgan.
“Some people don’t want me here, not just the coach, but the other two or three guys. Not only this year, but also last year.
The pair have been friends for a number of years, with the veteran broadcaster having interviewed Ronaldo on several occasions

“Honestly, I shouldn’t say that. But listen, I don’t care. People need to listen to the truth. Yes, I feel betrayed.’
Euro 2024 marks Ronaldo’s thirteenth major tournament as an international, two decades after he played in Portugal and reached the final on home soil.
The 39-year-old holds the record for most goals scored in the European Championship finals with 14, and the most in qualifying with 44.
