Eva Longoria, 49, goes bra-free in sizzling shoot as she talks ‘kindest human’ Tom Cruise, her ‘cousin’ Meryl Streep, and kissing Eddie Murphy

Eva Longoria is looking better than ever these days, which she proved in a new photoshoot that showed off her toned figure.

The 49-year-old Desperate Housewives alum has posed in sexy numbers for DuJour magazine.

In the song, the mother of one talked about her new show on Apple TV+, Land of Women, coming out in June.

She will also appear in the fourth season of the hit series Only Murders in the Building, which debuts on Hulu in late August.

During her conversation, she also talked about working with her “cousin” Meryl Streep on Only Murders, kissing Eddie Murphy for their film The Pickup and how Tom Cruise is the “nicest person.”

Eva said she loved appearing with Meryl Streep in Only Murders In The Building. They turn out to be distant cousins.

“We actually call each other cousin,” Longoria laughs. “We’ll say, ‘How are you, cousin?’ and ‘I’m fine, cousin.’

In the first Zoom table read for Only Murders, Streep introduced Longoria as her cousin.

“She tells the story and everyone is so confused because I’m the most Latina person in the industry and she’s Meryl Streep,” Longoria recalls.

The team was like family.

“We talked a lot about democracy and politics,” Longoria said.

‘But when you have leaders like Steve Martin and Martin Short, you never smile. Watching them make a lunch order is a show in itself. It’s a constant roast about a bun, a 30-minute comedy about mustard.”

And she kissed Eddie Murphy in The Pickup.

She enjoyed working with Murphy. ‘He’s my Hollywood. He’s my kind of funny. He is a comedy savant,” she said.

“And of course we have to kiss the first day on set,” Longoria said. “So it was like, ‘Nice to meet you,’ and then meh.”

But it was tame. “We didn’t have any makeout scenes,” Longoria noted. ‘It was just a good morning kiss. He is very private. I was just listening.”

She also partied with Tom Cruise at Victoria Beckham’s 50th birthday party in London in April.

Cruise ‘is the nicest person and the best dancer. “I’ve seen him dancing at a lot of parties,” she said.

“I danced for five hours at the party and we didn’t leave until three in the morning,” Longoria said. ‘I woke up and wondered if I had trained [too hard] The day before. No, we just danced a lot.’

Longoria has a lot of projects, and she likes that.

She recently filmed for an upcoming adaptation of A Christmas Carol (called Christmas Karma), directed by Gurinder Chadha (Bend It Like Beckham), in which she plays the Ghost of Christmas Past.

Then there is her tequila brand Casa del Sol, which she launched in 2021.

She recently announced that she would become a strategic advisor and investor in Siete Foods, the fastest growing Hispanic food company in the United States, best known for its gluten-free tortilla chips.

‘What can I say? “I am the ultimate multitasker,” she said. ‘I don’t like wasting time. I consider time as money. You either spend it or you waste it, and I choose to spend it.”

She lives between the U.S., Mexico City and Spain, she said.

The Hollywood icon and her husband, media mogul José Bastón, love to travel. They also have a five-year-old son named Santiago.

Longoria still can’t believe all her success.

‘I was recently at an airport in Poland and saw myself in a large L’Oréal advertisement. And all I could think was: That’s so crazy. That’s me. I’m still very confused, and I’m always surprised,” Longoria said.

She started out as flight attendant #3 on an episode of Beverly Hills, 90210. Then in 2004 came Desperate Housewives. Now she directed the film Flamin’ Hot.

“I usually reverse engineer my projects,” Longoria says of her work as a producer. ‘I start with a place where I want to photograph.’

For Land of Women she wanted to film in the Spanish wine country in the small medieval town of Figueres, the birthplace of Salvador Dalí.

“So much television is set in a dystopian future, and I can’t watch television that is set in a dystopian future,” Longoria said.

“I don’t want to worry and set up my doomsday bunker after watching a television program.”

Land of Women, she explains, is optimistic, “very blue skies and fish out of water. You just want to be there.’

The performance is bilingual.

“This wasn’t possible 10 or 15 years ago, but streaming has made content more global. The number 1 show is Squid Game in Korean. Subtitles are very acceptable, and so is the idea of ​​Spanglish. We’ve changed the way we look for storytellers and points of view.

“I’ve never played in Spanish,” Longoria admitted. ‘My brain hurt at the end of the day. But I’m the American in the show. I make a lot of mistakes in Spanish, just like in life. I say the wrong word at the wrong time.’

After the success of Flamin’ Hot, Longoria decided to take a break from directing.

“You couldn’t have stopped me from making that movie,” she says. But even for someone who always steers the ship, it was a lot of work.

“I’m not rushing to make my second film because I’m looking for something that appeals to me,” she said.

“I’ll know when I read it.”
