A woman has shared a hilarious video showing the moment she left her hairdresser appointment only to realize she looked like ‘Karen’.
After looking in the mirror, Kelly Reilly, 31, shared her stunned reaction on TikTok, doing an impression of a Long Island mom who she thought looked like her.
Her ‘Karen’ hairstyle refers to the inverted bob hairstyle, which was made popular online as a joke about middle-aged women who typically argue and ask to speak to a manager.
When the California-based comedian returned to her hometown of Long Island, she decided to try out her mother’s hairdresser, but quickly realized she had made a mistake.
In the comedy video, Kelly said, “I got the haircut and realized I looked like a Long Island mom in the ’90s!”

‘I don’t think I can emphasize this enough. I just feel like there’s so many things going on,” she added, giving her bob a sassy bounce.
“Okay, wait, it’s starting to sound a bit like me.”
Pretending to be on a phone call, Kelly said, “I just feel like, ‘Hey, it’s Trish.’ [Robert] Moses [beach].
“Hey honey, it’s Trish. Let’s do Moses. Yes, pick me up. Yes, I’ll pick you up.’
‘I have to go pick up the boys from football practice, but after that we can go to Drew Patrick.”
Kelly captioned the video: “Trish unlocked.”
Her video received more than 1.5 million views, 80,900 likes and 3,380 comments.

Kelly, who visited Long Island for her sister’s bridal shower, shared with Newsweek that her mother had booked the appointment for her with her personal hairstylist.
“I was developing a buzz cut so I just had this kind of harsher vibe and my mom hated it so she booked an appointment for me to get it ‘fixed,'” she explained.
‘[The hairstylist and I] joked that I didn’t look “like an aunt” so I thought we were shaking [about the cut].
‘We had a good chat during the recording, and I really like her as a person, so I didn’t want to hurt her feelings.
Kelly remained adamant about going to another hairstylist, saying, “I have to go there.” [my hair] repaired before my sister’s wedding in June’
“She added some layers [and] made me look like a grandma.
“My first reaction was shock, but I played it all out in the chair like I loved it.
‘[The hairstylist] did her best – it ended up being a $40 haircut. I don’t have bad blood.
“As soon as I walked out, I was laughing and taking pictures of it to send to my friends in LA.”
This isn’t the first time Kelly has done an impression of a woman named “Trish,” who lives on Long Island.
She explained, “My sister and I and my friends growing up on Long Island have always played characters like Trish… but in a very loving way.
“Trish is literally every woman who has taken me to soccer practice, scheduled a playdate, [and] picked me up from school. I was raised by an army of Trish’s.’
Kelly remained adamant about going to another hairstylist, saying, “I have to go there.” [my hair] resolved before my sister’s wedding in June.’
