The Wiggles reunion hopes dashed as famed entertainers turn down unusual movie offer: ‘Too off-brand’
The Wiggles have turned down a huge movie offer that would have reunited the original group for the first time in more than a decade.
Founders Anthony Field, Murray Cook, Jeff Fatt and Greg Page were approached to star in the upcoming Australian action comedy Zombie Plane.
But after initially finding the offer attractive, the group decided to walk away from the film which stars Sophie Monk, American rapper Vanilla Ice and famous film ‘tough guy’ Chuck Norris.
Insiders say the original Wiggles turned down their chance to reunite because the film, currently being completed in Brisbane, was ‘too off-brand’ for the children’s entertainers.
‘[The film] is very ironic and the boys were flattered to be asked, but unfortunately the opportunity to see the originals back together has been lost,” a source said. Yahoo lifestyle last week.

“They loved the script and the idea that had been created for them and it would have been exciting to get the band back together, but the project just didn’t sit right.”
The Wiggles were formed in Sydney in 1991 by the four original members – only Anthony Field remains in the group today after Cook, Fatt and Page left in 2012.
Meanwhile, Australian singers Natalie Bassingthwaighte and Amy Shark will also reportedly appear in Zombie Plane.

On board a plane, the stars of the film play ‘fictional versions’ of themselves.
Trade magazine Hollywood Reporter announced the production last year, saying it involved a secret government organization that uses “celebrities” as undercover agents. Their mission is to confront a threat to all humanity.
The film’s plot revolves around a zombie outbreak during a flight from Sydney to Los Angeles, requiring the passengers to thwart the looters.

It also features Home and Away hunk Dan Ewing, 37, and Neighbors veteran Teressa Liane, 35.
Fans can also look forward to a ’90s soundtrack and plenty of celebrity cameos.
The brutal broadcast is co-directed by two Australian filmmakers Lav Bodnaruk and Michael Mier.

It comes after Sophie Monk, 44, took to Instagram to share behind-the-scenes footage of the action on set during filming.
In the clip, the blonde beauty is seen standing in the aisle of a plane next to a pair of severed feet in tights, covered in stage blood.
“I wonder what brand the stockings are from,” Sophie jokingly tells her fans.
She also posted a video of herself laughing with her co-star Vanilla Ice, 55, while teaching the Texas native some cheeky Australian slang.
“Take the p**s means you’re joking,” she tells the Ice Ice Baby hitmaker.
