Terrifying moment man is chased by a crocodile while swimming in a lagoon
This is the terrifying moment a man was chased by a huge crocodile while swimming in a lagoon in Mexico.
The heartbreaking footage, which appeared to be shot from across the water, was posted to Reddit on Monday.
The man, who appeared disoriented, swam as fast as he could to the edge of the lagoon and tried to get out.
As he swam away, a huge crocodile quickly crept behind him into the green, murky water.
It is unclear exactly when and where the bizarre encounter took place.

Once he noticed the creature was in the water (pictured), the man quickly tried to swim to safety
He was seen struggling to get out of the water, but the man eventually threw himself over the stone edge and walked away from the lagoon as if nothing had happened.
The video starts with the man casually swimming on his back before seeing the semi-aquatic reptile approaching him.
He quickly turns around and starts swimming as fast as he can to the edge of the lagoon.
As he does this, the people recording begin to scream in fear and repeatedly say “No!”
The man then takes off his shoes while in the water and throws them onto land as the crocodile approaches.
The animal then disappears underwater while the swimmer tries to lift himself up.
After a few tries, the man pulls himself up to the edge before lowering himself and looking at the camera.
His head then retracts, disappears for a second and is then seen bobbing up and down in the water.
Before climbing out of the murky water, the man threw his shoes on land
He was struggling to pull himself out of the water when the crocodile overtook him and disappeared under the water
The man tries to break free from the terrifying creature, but this time manages to climb out of the water and onto the stone.
Dressed in a navy blue tank top and slightly torn khaki shorts, the exhausted swimmer dramatically rolls to the ground and lies there for a few seconds.
He then rolls onto his back and begins to shake uncontrollably before leaning forward and holding himself up with his arms.
The man then takes one of his shoes and appears to let the water drain out of it before putting it on his foot.
Once he has both shoes on, he rushes back to the edge of the wall and looks into the water.

He then grabs his right arm before the cameraman whistles at him and shouts, “Hey!”
The man looks up at the man and limps into the middle of the road, where he appears to be standing in the shadows, before looking back at the audience and making strange faces.
The video ends with him walking away as people try to get his attention. A photo of him showed a cut on the back of his thigh.
It is unclear whether the crocodile bit him or scratched himself during the escape.
Commenters quickly flocked to the bizarre video, reacting to the man’s near-death experience.
“You need to treat him quickly because crocodiles have a lot of dead bacteria in their teeth and if they don’t treat him quickly, he could lose his leg,” someone said on Instagram.
Another wrote: ‘That wound is very infected, I hope they help him…’
While some worried about the health and safety of the man who miraculously made it out alive, others questioned his actions.
