The former first lady has been largely absent from the 2024 campaign trail, despite former President Donald Trump’s de facto status as the Republican candidate in November.
But next month’s $100,000-a-main event with the Log Cabin Republicans will be Melania’s second fundraising appearance with the group this campaign cycle.

But just days before her husband’s conviction in New York’s hush money trial, Melania will headline the event for the largest conservative LGBTQ+ organization, according to a copy of an invitation to the event. obtained by Politico.

Melania held a separate event for the Log Cabin Republican at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, in April. This time the group comes to the New York City residence in Manhattan.
In recent years, the former model has kept a low profile and avoided political events. She has never spoken publicly about her husband’s legal troubles — even when porn star Stormy Daniels “praised” him.
Days after Trump was found guilty of 34 crimes in the Manhattan hush-money trial, Melania and son Barron Trump, 18, were seen leaving Trump Tower after nearly two weeks of being cooped up in the residence.
Some of Melania’s recent political appearances include attending a fundraiser at investor John Paulson’s South Florida home in April and joining her husband in March for a meeting at Mar-a-Lago with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban .
Attendees of the upcoming event with Melania are asked to contribute $100,000 with the goal of turning out voters for Trump and other Republicans in the fall.

The co-hosts of the Log Cabin Republicans event include Richard Grenell, who served as President Trump’s acting director of National Intelligence.
Others are Bryan Eure, Bill White and Nazee and Joseph Moinian.
The invite also notes that investor Hannah Buchan will host a post-fundraiser reception with the former first lady.
