Emotional moment Michael Strahan’s daughter Isabella, 20, finally rings the chemo bell after months of grueling treatment for brain cancer
Michael Strahan’s daughter Isabella became emotional as she rang the doorbell to mark the end of her chemotherapy, after months of grueling treatments for brain cancer.
In January, Isabella, 20, revealed she had been diagnosed with medulloblastoma – a rare form of brain cancer – and was starting chemotherapy.
But now, the University of Southern California freshman has officially completed her treatment — and she celebrated by ringing the monumental chemo bell with her loved ones.
Isabella captured the heartwarming moment and shared it on her YouTube channel, where she has documented every step of her battle.
In her latest vlog, which was uploaded over the weekend, the 20-year-old said she was so “excited” to complete her treatment.

Isabella has now completed her treatment and her parents, Michael and his ex-wife Jean Muggli, as well as her twin sister Sophia and half-sister Tanita were all there to celebrate.
It started with a video of her lying in her hospital bed while receiving the last ‘bag of chemotherapy’.
“This round wasn’t bad at all,” she told her followers. “I just slept a lot.”
After “officially completing her chemo,” Isabella took a moment to reflect on her “long journey.”
“Officially done with my chemo, yes,” she said. ‘This is a long journey, but I made it and now I have to recover and return to my usual state, which will take a long time, but I am done with the treatments.’
To commemorate this achievement, the hospital staff threw a party for Isabella.
Her nurses and doctors, as well as her friends and relatives, all lined up in the hallway, which was decorated with balloons.
As she walked down the hall, everyone cheered and threw confetti at her.
Isabella’s parents, Good Morning America host Michael and his ex-wife Jean Muggli, who were married from 1999 to 2006, as well as her twin sister Sophia and half-sister Tanita were all there.

Then she walked to the bell and read a poem written on the wall before ringing it.
“Ring the alarm three times, okay, it’s a toll to say clearly: my treatment is done, this course is finished and I’m on my way,” she said.
Isabella, who wore black sweatpants, a matching tank top and a gold crown, smiled from ear to ear as she proudly rang her doorbell.
‘My confetti parade was a lot of fun. I love all my nurses. It’s a great day,” she said afterwards.
The day ended with the family all getting food together at a local restaurant.
Isabella also took to Instagram to celebrate, sharing a slew of photos taken during her treatment.
‘After the wildest eight months, I was finally allowed to sound the alarm. Grateful for my journey,” she wrote.
One image showed her lying on a hospital bed with an array of equipment strapped to her, while another showed her smiling with gauze wrapped around her head.
Isabella first shared the news that she had been diagnosed with cancer in January during an appearance on Good Morning America with her father.
At the time, she explained that she had undergone emergency surgery after doctors discovered a tumor ‘bigger than a golf ball’ was growing in the back of her brain.

She has since documented her horrific journey on her YouTube account, where she now has more than 41,000 subscribers.
In a video shared in February, Isabella opened up about some of the horrible symptoms she endured as a result of her chemotherapy.
At the time, she said that “everything” hurt and that it felt like she was “having a heart attack.”
‘My eyes are tense, it hurts to look at the sides. My whole mouth feels like I’m having one giant root canal,” she continued.
‘Every tooth was pulled out and not even surgically replaced. My jaw hurts, the underside of my tongue hurts. It hurts when I swallow water.’
Later that month, she revealed she had to undergo a third emergency operation after suffering a “major setback” in her treatment.
Michael said earlier of her decision to be so open about her health online, explaining, “She is [doing it] iHoping that other people with the same diagnosis will feel supported and know they are not alone.’
