EastEnders SPOILER: Sharon battles to conceal events of Christmas Day but a suspicious Phil demands answers for Keanu’s murder
Albert Square will be hit by a typically dramatic twist in Monday’s episode of EastEnders.
In the new part of the much-loved BBC soap, Sharon Watts (played by Laetitia Dean) does her best to keep the events of Christmas Day a secret.
Yet a very suspicious Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) is determined to dig deeper as he confronts Sharon about her possible involvement in Keanu’s murder.
Once again, the Six’s big murder secret is in danger of being exposed – not long after Johnny (Charlie Suff) and local cop Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) discover that Keanu’s death led to the collapse of Denise Fox (Diane Parish).
As Phil heads to Number 43 to speak to Sharon to discuss whether he has access to their son Albie – who initially thought he was Keanu’s son – the conversation quickly turns to Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo), who was accused as the murderer.

A very suspicious Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) is determined to dig deeper as he confronts Sharon about her possible involvement in Keanu’s murder.
But Phil has already noticed an unusual text from Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) on her phone and is fixated on discovering the truth.
As tensions continue to rise, Phil isn’t the only one who suspects Dean isn’t the real killer.
In last week’s episode, Keanu’s mother Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) returned for Keanu’s funeral, and her suspicions increased after visiting Dean in prison, as she begins to wonder if he really killed her son .
It comes after recent episodes the The Mitchell family expands when a secret family, fathered by Billy’s father, moves to town.
Billy’s world will be turned upside down this summer when he discovers that his father, Stevie, has been hiding a secret family and leading a double life.
Stevie’s son Teddy Mitchell will arrive in Walford later this June with his sons Harry and Barney in search of his father.
However, he gets more than he bargained for when he comes face to face with Billy, Phil and the rest of the Mitchell clan.
Tensions will rise when Stevie confesses that Teddy is Billy’s half-brother, meaning there’s a whole new branch of the Mitchell family that they knew nothing about.

Actor Roland Manookian, best known for his roles in The Football Factory, RocknRolla and The Rise of the Footsoldier franchise, will take on the role of Teddy.
Elijah Holloway will take on the role of Harry and Lewis Bridgeman will play his younger brother Barney.
Executive producer Chris Clenshaw said of the new Mitchells: “I am delighted to welcome Roland, Elijah and Lewis to EastEnders as we bring a new branch of the iconic Mitchell family to the Square.
The arrival of Teddy, Harry and Barney will be a huge shock for Billy and an unwanted surprise for Phil. With their arrival raising more questions than answers, it’s not long before the Mitchells find themselves at war, while Teddy and his sons find themselves at the heart of the drama.’
Speaking about taking part in EastEnders, Roland Manookian said: ‘I’ve been watching EastEnders all my life, so it’s great to be a part of it! Coming in as Mitchell means having big shoes to fill, but it’s a challenge I’m happy to take on.
‘It’s a privilege to have the opportunity to work with the likes of Perry Fenwick, Steve McFadden and the legendary Alan Ford – what great company to keep. Teddy is an enigmatic kind of guy with old-fashioned principles, but he is also attuned to modernity. It’s a wonderful part to sink my teeth into.’
Elijah Holloway added: “It’s a huge privilege to join a British institution like EastEnders, and playing Mitchell makes it even more exciting.

‘We have been welcomed so warmly and it is incredible to have to work in Walford every day. Harry has a lot of charm and swagger, but he also has a bit of a temper. He can’t resist the trouble and the ladies, so he’s ready to shake things up in typical Mitchell style!’
Speaking about playing Barney, Lewis Bridgemen said: ‘Joining the cast of EastEnders was very exciting and a great opportunity, made even better by working with an amazing cast and crew.
“Barney is an interesting character to explore due to his more introverted nature compared to the other members of his family, and I look forward to seeing how he grows and develops in Albert Square.”
