Methuen shooting leaves eight injured, two in critical condition: Massachusetts cops hunt gunman

Eight people were injured Sunday morning after a gunman opened fire in a Massachusetts town.

Police responded to several 911 calls around 1:55 a.m. near 100 Lindberg Avenue in Methuen, about 25 miles north of Boston.

Gunfire broke out at a party attended by hundreds of people and organized on social media.

Police said seven people were struck by gunfire, while an eighth person was injured as he fled the scene. According to initial reports, two of the victims are in critical condition.
