Julia told CBS Sunday Morning viewers: ‘When I’m not at work, [being a homemaker] is my full time job. It’s not every day rainbows and kittens, but it makes me very happy.
‘It just never consumed me to be an actor. It’s my dream come true, but it’s not my only dream come true.
‘The life I built with my husband’ [and] the life we have built with our children is the best. To come home triumphant to them at the end of the day.’

Julia, who tied the knot with Daniel in 2002, revealed her lovely love letters that she keeps “tucked away” to show her daughter one day.
She continued: “It’s something Danny and I have always done. I still have the first letter he ever wrote to me, which was seven pages long.

The couple have three children together, twins Hazel and Phinnaeus and a son Henry.
The Pretty Women star described Henry, 15, as her “breakfast buddy” and gushed that daughter Hazel, 17, is “one of a kind.”
She said, ‘I always think they all look like me, and then Danny comes home from work, and I say, ‘Oh, you, that’s what they look like’.
The Notting Hill actress, who has been to a number of star-studded glamorous events, recalled her mini-me daughter rummaging in her closet for a prom dress.

Hazel pulled out her mother’s black Valentino dress, which she wore to the Academy Awards in 2001 when she won Best Actress.
Julia said, “Well, give it a try.” It was too big for her, but she looked so beautiful.’
Despite the dress not fitting, Hazel made her red carpet debut last year with her father at the Flag Day premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.
Julia explained, “We were actually facetime just before they went out. And she was laying on the bed and I said, “What time is it? What are you doing?”

She says, “Oh, daddy’s, you know, he’s just putting on his tie. We’re getting ready to go.” And I said, “Oh, are you ready?” “Yes.” She didn’t seem ready for, you know, ponytail?’
Julia continued, “And I said, “Hmm, little eyeliner?” She said, “I don’t have eyeliner with me, Mom, what are you talking about?” It’s like, “Okay, yeah.” I mean, what eyeliner? I mean, who needs eyeliner? Just Cannes!
“I mean, it’s just sweet, just the innocence. She’s just with her father. It’s not about anything else.’
In 2020, Julia and Daniel moved from Malibu to San Francisco after purchasing a more than 100-year-old Victorian home in the Presidio Heights neighborhood for $8.3 million.
