Kamala Harris reveals her thoughts on Trump’s search for a running mate

Vice President Kamala Harris says Donald Trump’s litmus test for a running mate in the 2024 election is someone who shows absolute loyalty to the former president. While nearly a dozen Republican politicians remain in the closely watched Republican veepstakes, Harris only named Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.).

In an interview with Politico Playbook published Monday, she also made clear that she is willing to debate Trump's VP pick this summer.

Speaking about Trump's potential to pick Rep. Donalds as his vice president, Harris highlighted the congressman's comments last week at a campaign event in Philadelphia, claiming that black families in America were stronger during Jim Crow era.

“It's unfortunately yet another example of someone from Florida trying to erase or rewrite our true history,” she said, referring to Donald's recent comments and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis' interventions on Black history curricula.  “Last July I went to Florida to talk about what they were trying to do to replace our history with lies.  And apparently from that state comes a never-ending stream of things like that,” she continued.
