Who is Miniminter? Meet the YouTuber taking part in Soccer Aid who has a huge net worth and famous pop star wife

The Soccer Aid England squad was announced earlier this month ahead of the highly anticipated charity match taking place on Sunday.

One of the stars in the lineup is Miniminter, a YouTuber who is part of KSI’s group of content creators and has more than 10 million followers.

Minter is part of a collective of YouTubers called The Sidemen, which was originally formed a decade ago after bonding on an online platform for fans of the popular video game Grand Theft Auto.

The 31-year-old star, who attended the £23,000-a-year Berkhamsted School in Hertfordshire as a youngster, is worth a whopping £9million.

He is one half of a high-profile couple, having tied the knot last year with his singer-songwriter wife Natalia Margaret Louise Mar, known professionally as Talia Mar.

Minter’s journey into content creation started after he left university when tuition fees skyrocketed and started working in a warehouse, before being hired by his old school friend, KSI, real name Olajide ‘JJ’ Olatunji, to run his clothing line.

At the same time, he started creating his own YouTube content, mainly videos about FIFA and football in general, while also recreating famous Vine clips. Since then, he has amassed over 10.4 million video sharing subscribers.

The Sidemen consists of KSI, Simon, Joshua Bradley, known online as Zerkaa; Tobi Brown, known online as TBJZL; Ethan Payne, known online as Behzinga; Vikram Barn, known as Vikkstar123 and Harry Lewis, known as W2S.

In a video with KSI in August 2023, Minter discussed how he has two TikTok channels, a gaming channel, that posts every day, and has around 1.8 million followers.

Then he has what he describes as his main channel, which has 2.1 million followers, where he rarely posts. He explained: ‘My main TikTok, I made £637.’

Admitting that he hasn’t posted a large number of videos, he did point out that a recent clip had amassed a whopping 19 million views, while others had also racked up huge numbers.

Not much is known about his family, but it is believed that his father owns a small business. Minter also owns a property company and as of 2022 had a reported net worth of £9 million.

Last summer, Minter announced his engagement to British singer Talia Mar, before the couple married in June 2023.

According to The tabthe pair have been dating since 2017, after meeting at Wireless Festival, but only made their relationship public in 2018.

Talia is perhaps best known for her 2022 hit Stay the Night with Sigala and has 2.3 million monthly listeners on Spotify.

The 27-year-old is an influencer herself and has one million YouTube subscribers and 1.2 million followers on Instagram.

She also has around 738,000 Twitch followers, where she posts singing videos as well as clips of her playing video games.

Talia uses her social media to promote her music, show off her glamorous style and post wholesome photos of her life with Simon and their Chow Chow Mushu.

In February 2024, Minter was called out by Tommy Fury on a podcast.

Tommy warned Minter never to mention his daughter again after she referred to his girl in a podcast.

The boxer came down hard on Minter and named his daughter Bambi as he questioned his fighting skills after his victory over KSI in October.

Fury defeated KSI via a controversial majority decision, but was given the full waiver by the YouTube sensation, against whom he was favoured.

‘SiMon van Sidemen, say what you want about your buddy KSI who lost,” he said on Instagram.

‘But if you never mention my daughter’s or my name again, then you have a problem. Keep my child’s name out of your mouth.’

KSI then stood up for his Sidemen friend with a tweet intended to spark anger. “Bambi,” he wrote on X, in response to Fury’s video.

Minter has previously spoken out about what it means to be a sideman.

Minter previously said in a video: ‘A sideman is basically someone’s b**** who just follows him around… I was basically JJ’s b**** who followed him around.’

Through the world of online gaming, they began to lay the foundation for a group that dominates internet entertainment.

The Sidemen began making a name for themselves by recording video game sessions from their bedrooms, filming their own commentary and reactions while playing and uploading them to YouTube.

They set up a dedicated channel in 2015 and began branching out into other forms of online entertainment, taking on a series of challenges including eating tasks, hide and seek and experimenting with parenting.

Nearly 300 videos have been posted to the channel, which now has more than 18 million subscribers and around five billion views in total.
