Chelsea are closing in on the signing of Brazilian wonderkid Pedro Lima and will beat Real Madrid in the race for his signature.
The Blues are planning to continue Todd Boehly’s transfer strategy of signing some of the best young players in the world and are targeting the teenage right-back.
According to GiveMeSport Chelsea’s recruitment team have described the defender as one of the best right-backs in world football for his age group.
The 17-year-old star currently plays for Brazilian second division side Sport Recife, and they are now expected to get a deal over the line.
The west London club remain confident of fending off renewed interest in the player from Real Madrid, but are keen to complete the deal for the young star.

The defender is the first signing for new boss Enzo Maresca after leaving Leicester earlier this month to take over at Stamford Bridge as a replacement for Mauricio Pochettino.
It is doubtful whether confirmation of the deal with Lima would see the player into the Chelsea first-team, with Fabrizio Roamano already reporting that there are plans to send him out on loan.
