Operation Taylor: How popstar sneaks into venues unnoticed by hiding inside cleaning carts, suitcases and popcorn machines

Taylor Swift has reached the pinnacle of fame as she performs in front of millions of fans on the European leg of her Eras Tour, which has already grossed more than a billion dollars and earned her a Guinness World Record.

So you can’t blame the megastar for trying to go unnoticed every now and then.

Eagle-eyed fans who call themselves Swifties have noticed the Tortured Poets Department singer being transported from her dressing room to the main stage in a cleaning cart.

Two handsome security guards have been filmed pushing the 6ft container as Lady Gaga’s song Applause fills the stadium.

A sneaky fan spotted the moment Swift left the fake cleaning cart in a sparkling bodysuit – one of about 16 outfits the singer wears during her performance.

Fans have started using the Gaga song as an indication that the show is about to begin.

After the hit ends, there is a three-minute countdown, indicating Swift has hopped off the cart and is getting ready backstage.

Adele used a similar technique to get on stage prominently during her world tour.

To avoid bothering fans, the Rolling in the Deep singer hid in a sweaty box designed to carry amplifiers and instruments.

On stage in Sydney, Adele admitted: ‘How I get on this stage makes me so sweaty. I’m soaked.

‘I can’t tell you until the end. You’ll laugh when you find out.’

When Taylor’s similar covert operation unraveled, fans began theorizing how she could have been transported somewhere else without being noticed.

Taylor made a quick getaway from Los Angeles airport to reunite with boyfriend Travis Kelce during the Super Bowl in February this year.

The singer used an umbrella to shield herself from the cameras as she climbed into an SUV.

A curtain could be seen separating the front seats from the back of the vehicle, allowing the star to keep her face hidden as she was escorted from the airport.

Later, Taylor was seen in a box at the stadium with Donna Kelce, Travis’ mother.

After celebrating Travis’ victory, the young couple left the stadium together in a vintage convertible – although fans were confused as to how she got out of the box to meet her boyfriend after the match.

But a TikTok video then went viral showing what some Swifties claim was the pop star hiding in a popcorn machine to avoid being caught by fans.

Another bizarre fan theory is that the Blank Space singer is being smuggled out of her Manhattan home in a suitcase.

Nearly a dozen of Taylor’s guards were on hand in 2017 to move a large suitcase into the trunk of a car.

During an interview with Vogue UK, singer Zayn Malik later claimed that the rumors were true.

The former One Direction star previously collaborated with Taylor on music and was in a relationship with her boyfriend Gigi Hadid.

Some of Taylor’s disguises are a little less elaborate.

She was spotted in 2017 trying to keep a low profile as she headed to a meeting in New York City.

The singer wore a blue hoodie and sunglasses as she strolled through the busy streets.

As fans queue outside Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium for Taylor’s performance in Britain as part of The Eras Tour, it is inevitable that some will be keeping a keen eye out for any sign of the megastar.

The singer is accompanied on tour by four background vocalists, six band members and fifteen dancers.

Jan Ravnik, one of Taylor’s many backup dancers, was spotted taking a photo in front of Edinburgh Castle today.

Amid speculation over whether Taylor has arrived in Scotland, fans have been queuing since the early hours of the morning in frigid temperatures of just seven degrees outside Edinburgh’s Murrayfield stadium.

Some had set up tents to set up a makeshift camp outside the home of Scottish rugby overnight.

Ellie Poulter, 19, traveled on a 10-hour bus from Oxfordshire to Edinburgh to see the singer perform on Saturday.

She said: ‘I have a hotel, but I want to be at the front. So I put my suitcases there, so that we can sleep somewhere on Saturday after the concert.’

She said: ‘I can’t wait. I got here at 3am to be the first in line. I didn’t go to bed last night because I was so excited.

‘It was quite cold and dark, but I’ve got my poncho on and I’m from North East Scotland, so I’m made of stern stuff.’
