Shane Jacobson has weighed in on the controversial drink-driving charge, fellow Australia’s Got Talent, Kate Ritchie in August.
Shane spoke to Stellar magazine called Kate’s actions this week a “minor error of judgment.”
‘Did she do something wrong? Of course she did,’ he began.

Shane suggested that Kate’s fame was the only reason why the incident continued to make headlines months later.
‘She has apologized and probably 40,000 other people have been caught for being touched’ [the limit] since then, but they’re not going to make the papers.
“I think, especially since it’s her, we’re going to hear about it if she makes a small error of judgment.”
Speaking to Stellar magazine this week, Shane called Kate’s actions a ‘minor error of judgment’
Kate was stopped by police at 2:45pm on Heffron Rd in Pagewood in August for a random breath test in her blue Subaru station wagon.
Ritchie tested positive by the roadside and was immediately arrested and taken to the Maroubra Police Station where she underwent a secondary breath analysis.
She gave a positive reading of 0.06, just a shadow above the legal limit of 0.05.

A police spokesman told the Daily Mail Australia: ‘She was given a notice of infringement for the offense of driving with a prescribed low alcohol concentration and issued a notice of suspension of the license.’
Ritchie is said to have been fined $600 on the spot and given a three-month driving ban.
Her former husband – ex-rugby league star Stuart Webb – was caught drink-driving five times between 2012 and 2019 when the couple broke up.
The Nova personality tested positive after being stopped by police for a random breath test and immediately arrested in August and taken to the Maroubra Police Station.
She later apologized for the incident via her Instagram account.
“Recently I did a random breath test. Although it was a low level, the test came back positive,” the message read.
“I made a bad decision and I no doubt understand the gravity of my actions. I am really sorry.’
