Hinchinbrook break-in: Nine men storm into a home and assault two people before fleeing

A manhunt has been launched for a group of nine men who stormed into a home and attacked two residents.

The gang forced their way into a home on Bower Bird Street in Hinchinbrook, south-west Sydney, just before 10.30pm on Wednesday.

The intruders attacked two people in the home before fleeing on foot.

One of the occupants was taken to hospital after treatment with minor injuries.

Eight others in the single-storey house were unharmed.

Three of the men were armed with weapons, which were not used in the attack.

Police arrived at the home following reports of an aggravated burglary and responded to a crime scene that was quickly established at the property.

An investigation has since been launched and anyone with information is asked to contact Liverpool Police or Crime Stoppers.
