Is this the first true wireless monitor ever? Portable display uses Wi-Fi for connectivity and has a built-in battery – too bad it’s only a 16-inch model that doesn’t have touchscreen capabilities

PROMETHEUS CAST, made by Japanese company UniqStyle, is a portable monitor that can connect wirelessly to computers, smartphones and tablets.

The 15.6-inch FHD monitor (1920 x 1080) can be used as a main display or as a secondary display, is super slim, weighs just 885 grams and comes with a built-in 3000 mAh battery so it doesn’t need to be plugged in (except for charging). It supports various wireless connection methods, including AirPlay, MiraCast and DLNA, and can also connect via HDMI and Type-C cables.
