Married At First Sight is back on New Zealand screens and it looks like season four will be its most explosive yet.
A recently released teaser trailer for the brand new season introduces a new batch of Kiwi singles hoping to find love.
The short clip hinted at a tumultuous journey ahead, with high emotions and fiery confrontations about to unfold.
“Things are about to get spicy,” a bride announces in the promo, setting the tone for what promises to be a rollercoaster season.
“The road to love has never been rockier,” the voiceover said as the participants are seen in tears.

The drama escalated when one groom accused the other of ‘gaslighting’, while a bride bluntly dismissed the situation as ‘bulls**t’.
The suspense doesn’t end there, as the trailer shows a particularly heated moment between a contestant and the show’s Australian relationship expert, John Aiken, who sternly warns, “Don’t go there.”
Aiken, who has appeared in every season of the Australian series since its inception, joins MAFS NZ to guide a new group of brides and grooms to love.
The drama escalates as one groom accuses the other of gaslighting, while a bride bluntly dismisses the situation as “that’s bulls–t.”
The suspense doesn’t end there, as the trailer features a particularly heated moment between a contestant and Australian expert, John Aiken, who sternly warns, “Don’t go there.”
He will sit on the sofa next to sex therapist Jo Robertson, who will offer participants ‘practical strategies and conversations about chemistry, intimacy and affection’.
It’s clear that John takes his no-nonsense approach to holding participants accountable across the Tasman.
In a statement released by Nine, John expressed his bond with New Zealand and its diverse population, noting that he has spent a lot of time in the country and has been happily married to a Kiwi for 17 years.

“I’m excited to be part of the new relaunch of MAFS NZ. After being involved with the Australian version for over a decade, I can now bring all my learnings and insights to Kiwi singles looking for love,” he shared.

Who will star in the show?
The New Zealand series will not only have one less expert, but also a significantly smaller group of participants.
Only eight brides and grooms will walk down the aisle, ranging in age from 26 to 37.
The four brides tying the knot are account manager/healing intuitive Madeleine, 37, content creator Samantha, 26, car salesman Kara, 33, and marketing professional Stephanie, 31.
Meanwhile, the four grooms are auctioneer and business owner Michael, 36, brewer Piripi, 28, primary school teacher James, 31, and aviation officer Nathaniel, 30.
