He will sit on the sofa next to sex therapist Jo Robertson, who will offer participants ‘practical strategies and conversations about chemistry, intimacy and affection’.

It’s clear that John takes his no-nonsense approach to holding participants accountable across the Tasman.

In a statement released by Nine, John expressed his bond with New Zealand and its diverse population, noting that he has spent a lot of time in the country and has been happily married to a Kiwi for 17 years.

Who will star in the show?

The New Zealand series will not only have one less expert, but also a significantly smaller group of participants.

Only eight brides and grooms will walk down the aisle, ranging in age from 26 to 37.

The four brides tying the knot are account manager/healing intuitive Madeleine, 37, content creator Samantha, 26, car salesman Kara, 33, and marketing professional Stephanie, 31.

Meanwhile, the four grooms are auctioneer and business owner Michael, 36, brewer Piripi, 28, primary school teacher James, 31, and aviation officer Nathaniel, 30.
