Bridgerton’s Phoebe Dynevor tipped to star in $30million Australian shark thriller film – as British star confirms her engagement

Bridgerton actress Phoebe Dynevor will head Down Under later this year to star in an Australian shark thriller film, reports claim.

The English star, 29, is apparently ‘in talks’ to star in Norwegian writer-director Tommy Wirkola’s Sony Pictures project, which will start filming in July at Docklands Studios, Melbourne. Deadline reports.

So far, the film’s title and plot are said to be ‘under wraps’, but it has been confirmed that the film will be produced by Hyperobject Industries, a production company founded by Adam McKay.

Hyperobject Industries was previously behind the hit dramas Succession, The Menu and Don’t Look Up.

The production will reportedly inject $30 million into the local economy.

According to Victorian Creative Industries Minister Colin Brooks, the film has received state government support through the Victorian Screen Incentive Program and will create around 700 local jobs.

It comes after Phoebe confirmed her engagement to American actor Cameron Fuller.

Cameron, 28, is the son of American horror film director Brad Fuller and was first spotted with Phoebe in March last year.

Phoebe first unveiled her oval engagement ring, which was reportedly worth £100,000 ($190,000), at the Met Ball in New York last month, although the engagement was only confirmed days later.

Her mother Sally Dynevor, who played Sally Webster in the ITV soap Coronation Street for 38 years, spoke of her happiness at the news of her daughter last month.

Sally, 61, told ITV show Loose Women: ‘My daughter has just got engaged. He’s beautiful, he’s such a nice man.’

She added: “I’m so, so happy. I’m very happy, it really made my year.’
