Kate Ritchie is having a rough year: she splits from her boyfriend Chevy Black and deals with the aftermath of a terrifying stalker ordeal.
But the former Home and Away star looked happy as she stepped out to attend Nova FM’s Singles Ball at Taronga Zoo on Thursday.
The 45-year-old radio host looked half her age as she led the arrival in an elegant yet glitzy black mini dress with a silver flower on the bust.
But it was the single she matched with that night that really made Kate shine.
A handsome man named Will asked Kate to dance, which seemed to make her night.

The pair immediately seemed to hit it off
He gave her his rose, introduced himself and the two left the table to get to know each other better.

As she exited her car, she clutched a luxurious black coat with fur lapels.
She was also spotted warmly welcoming her co-host Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald with a hug as they entered Taronga’s Gilli Rooftop.
Kate’s potential budding romance comes after she called time on her relationship with boyfriend Black, nine months after they went Instagram official.

The couple, who often made public displays of affection while out and about in Coogee, split late last year.
At the time, Kate fueled breakup rumors by sharing a reflective Instagram post of herself living her best life with a friend, without mentioning Black.
The couple appeared to be going from strength to strength after they debuted their relationship in February 2023 with photos from a romantic picnic.
Kate later took her romance to the next level by introducing Chevy to her mother Heather and daughter Mae.
However, by the end of that year, Kate was single again.

Meanwhile, Kate is in further pain when her stalker nightmare was exposed earlier this year.
It was revealed she called NSW police after receiving a message from 71-year-old Gerard Ryan, saying he was in the suburb where she lives and hoped to find her.
He had sent her ‘hundreds’ of messages from February 2022 to April 2023, including ‘numerous nude photographs of the suspect and numerous videos of the accused masturbating’, police alleged, seen by the Daily Telegraph.
She also upped her height with a pair of patent black leather heels
Ryan was arrested in a park in Sydney’s eastern suburbs last month and charged with stalking, to which he pleaded guilty. He was also hit with a sustained violence order banning him from approaching Kate.
Waverley Local Court was told Ryan’s obsession with the TV star started last year when he started posting comments on her social media accounts including: ‘Hello Kate… I love you so much’.
Another message said: ‘I just want to kiss you, my heart beats for you, I love you to bits.’

Ryan posted very explicit messages of a sexual nature about Kate on his own social media pages, and when she didn’t respond, things got worse.
Police records also revealed that Ryan had said he wanted to marry Kate and referred to her daughter, saying he would be “a good stepfather.”
In February, he sent a letter to her work address containing a Valentine’s Day card.
Ryan was sentenced to 12 months’ conditional discharge and an AVO states he must not go within 500 meters of Ritchie’s home or workplace.
