FSR3 support for Cyberpunk 2077 is in the works, CD Projekt Red confirms
CD Projekt Red has confirmed this Cyberpunk 2077 will eventually receive FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 (FSR3) support.
In an X/Twitter after Shared yesterday (May 29), it was revealed that development is continuing Cyberpunk 2077 has officially ended as the studio shifts its focus to other projects including Project Polaris in other words The Witcher 4.
As of April 30, 407 developers are currently working on the game, with the remaining 223 team members spread across other titles such as Orion- the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel – SiriusAnd Hadaras well as shared services and “other projects”.
While development may be over, no future content updates are planned Cyberpunk 2077CD Projekt Red has said that it is still working on implementing the long-awaited FSR3 feature into the game.
“We are still working on FSR3 support for Cyberpunk 2077but I don’t have an update on its availability yet,” a CD Projekt Red spokesperson said IGN.
Players wondered when the update might arrive, with some assuming it was canceled because the game no longer had a dedicated development team.
However, one fan has apparently spotted a change in the game’s backend on Steam, suggesting a new patch is coming soon.
“I’m not sure if they’ve decided to drop the FSR3 update or not, but I have a feeling there’s one (small) final patch coming as the internal QA branch did the first update since the last update six hours ago has been updated,” user ‘Apoqsi’ further wrote X/Twitter.
CD Projekt Red hasn’t yet confirmed when a new update might arrive, but given the latest comment and this one user’s discovery, we can hopefully expect a patch sooner rather than later.
