A mother says human feces, garbage and sex toys were thrown into her front yard and her pets were eaten by cats by neighbors from the housing commission.

The woman, who lives on the outskirts of Darwin, claims she made a series of phone calls to the Northern Territory government that went unanswered for months.

Tired and nauseous, the anonymous single mom has gone out complaining that her neighbors have become “impossible to tolerate.”

On the other side of the woman’s gate is public housing, whose tenants have never caused her any problems in the twenty years she has lived there.

However, the new residents have brought the stench of feces and putrefaction to both sides of the gate.

“They throw garbage in my yard (which) consists of children’s toys, used condoms, used rubber gloves covered in feces, used dildos covered in feces, tubes of KY jelly and most recently (a) bucket of sh*t,” she said. NT News.

“They’ve draped rotting trash over the front gate to try and hide their dirt…(and) there’s a lot of trash piled up against the front gate that recently caught fire, endangering my house,” she claimed.

She said her neighbors even put down a 10-foot-wide pile of rotting garbage.

Around her house is a mess, with children’s equipment, white goods and sex toys scattered throughout her garden.

Rampant wildlife also roams the yard, and the piles of trash are infested with rats, the single mother claims.

One dog has given birth to more than 30 troublesome puppies in the area in the past two and a half years, she claims.

Cats, she said, plucked the breasts from her cages while they were still alive.

The mother said that even as she tries to rest after another chaotic day, the sound of banging from next door keeps her awake well into the night.

She said she has worked all her life to pay off her house while raising a child.

“Now that I’m retired, I face this filth in a so-called civilized society,” she said.

A dozen desperate calls and emails to the Department of Territory Families, Housing and Communities have gone unanswered, the woman claims.

She has also reportedly contacted several ministers.

A spokeswoman for Northern Territory Chief Minister Natasha Fyles said the area’s housing system is under review.

“The territory’s government recognizes the systemic problems in our public housing system, so we are reforming the public housing system,” she said.

“In April, the NT government launched the Community Housing Growth Strategy, which involves an initial investment of $22.3 million to fund initiatives, investments and works.”

Other departments declined to comment on individual cases.
