Oaknorth co-founder Rishi Khosla says Britain is ‘less attractive’ than other markets

Tech unicorn Oaknorth says London’s public markets look “less attractive” than their international peers as it considers a potential IPO.

Rishi Khosla, co-founder of the digital investment bank, has joined in the criticism of the capital, saying: ‘The UK hasn’t done the best in terms of branding in the last two, three, four years… actually since the vote on the Brexit referendum. he told City AM.

‘We just haven’t come out and created Britain’s reputation as the place where things happen.’ The lender has considered an initial public offering but said Britain was “less attractive” than other markets.

He insisted no decision had been made yet. Oaknorth was valued at £2.2 billion in 2019. Profits reached £187m in 2023, up 23 per cent.
