Jets’ Quinnen Williams has hilarious reaction to learning Aaron Rodgers is entering his 20th season: ‘That’s crazy’
Jets defensive tackle Quinnen Williams learned Wednesday how many years Aaron Rodgers has been playing and had a hilarious response.
The 40-year-old Rodgers is entering his 20th year in the NFL after debuting for the Packers in 2005.
And when a reporter told Williams that Rodgers was about to complete a 20-year football career, the young pass rusher couldn’t believe it.
“Aaron, 20 years in the NFL? Man,” he said, as laughter erupted from the Jets’ press room.
“Ain’t our running back, the #0 [rookie Braelon Allen] 20 years old? So [Rodgers] been in the NFL for so long [Allen] been alive. That’s crazy, isn’t it? I have to make a joke about that.’

Born on January 20, 2004, Allen was a fourth-round selection in this year’s draft by the Jets out of Wisconsin.
Rodgers, meanwhile, took his first NFL snap less than two years later on October 9, 2005.
The future Hall of Fame quarterback obviously has an impressive resume filled with ten Pro Bowl appearances, four MVP awards and one Super Bowl ring with the Packers.
But he hasn’t accomplished anything yet with the Jets after injuring his Achilles tendon in just four games in his New York debut, forcing him to miss the rest of the season.
Speaking to reporters after the Jets’ second OTA last week, he said he doesn’t want to “go out as a bum.”
“I expect to play at a high level,” he said. “I expect us to be productive and competitive and for all those things to take care of themselves.”
“If I don’t do what I’m capable of, we’ll probably all be out of here, so… I like that kind of pressure.”
The 39-year-old veteran QB is unrestricted in the Jets’ OTA after tearing his Achilles tendon in September.
Rodgers also shared a positive update on his recovery after rupturing his Achilles tendon.
“I feel really good,” he said. ‘It’s just about the mental part. These exercises have been fun the last few days, just to get a feel for what it’s like to be out there, moving around and not thinking about it and seeing how I react the next day.
‘This is the last part. The strength is good, the movement is good. Just the confidence to do anything.”
Rodgers and the Jets open their season on September 9 at the 49ers.
