Hugh Jackman reveals he is leaning on best friend Ryan Reynolds for support amid his split from Deborra Lee-Furness
Hugh Jackman has opened up about his friendship with Ryan Reynolds following his split from wife Deborra Lee-Furness.
The Wolverine star, 55, shared People how he considers Ryan one of his best friends as he recovers from divorce from his wife of 27 years of marriage.
Hugh also said that they completely trusted each other over the years.
He said, “There are probably fewer friends in our lives to whom you can say everything, the things you’re ashamed of, ashamed of, whatever.”
“You can tell me anything and I can tell you anything, and I don’t feel like you’re going to judge me or necessarily give me the answer,” Hugh added.

Ryan also compared their connection to marriage, saying that “long-term Hollywood friendship isn’t much different from having a partner or marriage.”
Hugh announced his shock split from his Deborra-Lee in September after 27 years of marriage, telling fans they were splitting up ‘to pursue our individual growth’.
He shares two adopted children – son Oscar, 24, and daughter Ava, 18, – with his ex-wife.
“We are blessed to have had a beautiful, loving marriage together for almost three decades,” the couple said in a statement to People.

“Our journey is now changing and we have decided to part ways to pursue our individual growth.
‘Our family is and will remain our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family goes through this transition.”
The couple tied the knot in 1996 after crossing paths on the set of Correlli in 1995.
An insider previously told ET that there is “no animosity” between the exes.

“Hugh and Deborra-Lee are both on different pages and chapters of their lives,” they said.
‘They felt it was time to part, but they still maintain a happy and cordial friendship.’
The source went on to say that Hugh and Deborra-Lee “appreciate their many years together and their children.”
“Ultimately, it was their collective agreement to go their own way and do what was healthiest for everyone involved,” she added.
