Embarrassing moment Wheel of Fortune contestants celebrate win with fist pumps without realizing they guessed the wrong answer
This is the embarrassing moment Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak had to interrupt a victory celebration after contestants answered a puzzle incorrectly.
Rufus Cumberlander was fist bumped into his opponents on Monday night’s show after confidently guessing the answer to a toss-up puzzle.
Cumberlander, along with fellow participants Luidgi Altidor and Cynthia King, were tasked with completing the sentence: “_ _ N ‘ _ _ _ _ KA _ _ _.”
King buzzed, but couldn’t solve the puzzle and opened it to her opponents. At that point, Cumberlander yelled, “NOT AWAY,” prompting a fist bump from Altidor.
Sajak repeated “no, no, no, no, no,” but the trio continued their celebration, only finally realizing their mistake when the buzzer went off with the wrong answer.

Pat Sajak repeated “no, no, no, no, no,” but the trio continued their celebration, only finally realizing their mistake when the buzzer went off with the wrong answer. He added, “Everyone congratulates everyone, and WE get to keep the money!!”
King looked disappointed after seemingly being surprised by the phrase on the sign.
Unable to answer the question, Sajak opened it up to the other two contestants.
Cumberlander offered an answer to the puzzle with apparent confidence.
Altidor, seemingly impressed by his opponent, said “yes” as he fist bumped Cumberlander, who then did the same to King.
Sajak repeatedly said the answer was incorrect, but the trio didn’t seem to hear him.
They eventually turned their attention back to the host after a buzzer went off, revealing the correct answer: “CAN’T LOOK AWAY.” They cried out in disbelief.
“No, that’s not right,” Sajak said. ‘Everyone congratulates everyone, and WE get to keep the money!!
“It was nice of you to congratulate him,” he added.
Since no one answered the question correctly, King – who had won the two previous puzzles – received points for the segment. She won Monday night’s episode, taking home a total of $19,390
