Australian martial arts great Craig Jones has announced his new Brazilian invitational jiu-jitsu tournament by depositing $1 million on Joe Rogan’s desk during a live podcast.

Jones, one of the most popular grapplers in the world, appeared on the Joe Rogan Experience MMA Show podcast on Wednesday and talked about how he will shake up the combat sports world with a groundbreaking new tournament.

The Australian black belt is launching his own tournament called the Craig Jones Invitational, which will give away a massive million dollars in prize money to the winners and pay fighters $10,000 just to compete.

Jones emphasized his point by taking the money to the world famous podcast and dumping the money in a pile on Joe’s desk.

It surprised the UFC commentator, who admitted he had never seen so much money.

‘I’ve never seen a million dollars in one place! “I’ve never seen a check for a million dollars,” he said.

“Ladies and gentlemen, that’s one million dollars in cash. That’s so ridiculous. Look at that, that’s so crazy.

‘Wow. Whoever runs this really trusts you.”

Jones, who is known for his easy-going attitude and dry sense of humor, explained that he took the money to the show so people know he’s not joking about the huge prize money on offer.

The Australian hopes his wrestling tournament can both take the sport to the next level and compensate athletes in a way that has never been done before.

He has already persuaded some of the biggest names in the sport to attend the event and has hinted that he will announce several more.

Jones also revealed that he will face female wrestling superstar Gabi Garcia in “the biggest superfight in wrestling history.”

“Now we’re talking about the most decorated female athlete of all time, Gabi Garcia, who put pen to paper to meet me at my own event,” Jones said.

Rogan explained that Jones had joked about the match for a long time and wondered if it would actually happen.

“One hundred percent is going to happen,” Jones confirmed.

“We booked it, we signed this contract before. So I mean, I had to do a lot of things to make it happen, you know?’
