Ellie Taylor has revealed that she’s doing Strictly Come Dancing to show young girls like her daughter that women can be “funny and stupid.”

The comedian, 38, – who shares Valentina, three, with husband Phil Black – said she wants to prove that you don’t always have to be “prim and proper” and that sometimes you can just be a “wally.”

Ellie is collaborating with South African professional dancer Johannes Radebe on this year’s series and has received mixed reviews for her performances so far.

The very first Paso Doble dance of the series featured Ellie and partner Johannes taking to the floor in matching purple ensembles for Strictly last Saturday.

“I felt like you were just walking around and posing, not really dancing,” Craig criticized the dance, as Shirley admitted “it lacked the full energy of a pase doble, it just lacked for me.”

But when they noticed Ellie’s “beautiful line,” Motsi and Anton were more positive about the song — because Johannes said he was “so proud” of his partner.
