Kim Kardashian helps her nephew Mason Disick, 14, reach 644k followers on Instagram – after urging her 400M fans to give him a ‘follow’
Kim Kardashian helped her nephew Mason Disick, 14, surpass half a million followers on Instagram by encouraging her fans to ‘follow’ him too.
On Tuesday, the 43-year-old reality star shared a screenshot of the teen’s profile to her Instagram Story, with a sweet message telling “everyone” to follow her sister Kourtney’s eldest child.
“I still can’t believe Mason is on IG,” she said, still in awe that Disick had joined the app, which requires users to be at least 13 years old.
Before his aunt’s post, the eldest child of Kourtney Kardashian and her ex Scott Disick already had a whopping 509,000 followers on the social media platform.
Eight hours after her post, Disick had amassed a total of 644,000 followers.

After Mason joined Instagram on Sunday, Kim quickly responded to his first message.
“You’re actually on Instagram,” she marveled, while her sister Khloe, 39, wrote: “I can’t believe this is happening. I’m not okay. He’s a real teenager. The one who calls us KiKi and KoKo.”
As of Tuesday, Mason only has three posts, which include friends of himself, as well as his siblings Penelope, 11, and 9-year-old Reign.
This isn’t the teen’s first Instagram profile after Kourtney, 45, and Scott, 40, made him delete his account in 2020 when he joined without their permission.
His TikTok account was previously disabled for terms of service violations, as users had to be 13 years or older and Mason was 10 years old at the time.
Kourtney opened up about the decision when she discussed parenting and social media with Miranda Kerr for Vogue Paris in May 2021.
“Mason opened some secret accounts during the quarantine,” she said. “They were quickly closed.”
The POOSH mogul explained that “what kids share today, it’s there forever,” adding, “I felt like quarantine was also a big lesson because I felt like it was hard for kids.” ‘

After joining on Instagram, Kim and her sister Khloe, 39, were quick to comment on his first post
“I loved it because I loved being home and being with them and not feeling guilty or like I missed out on anything,” Kourtney explained. “It was a good time to bond, but then I felt like their social interaction was very difficult for them.”
Kourtney also previously stated that she was hesitant to allow her children on social media to protect their mental health.
“I think the thing that really worries me about Instagram when it comes to kids is just comments,” she said during an Instagram Live. ‘People can be so mean. It’s very easy to get consumed by it. I just feel like this isn’t the right time.”
When his cousin North West, 10, got in trouble for going on TikTok Live without permission in December 2021, Kim shared the “adult” advice that Mason texted her “just in case for safety.”
“Hi, no disrespect to North but I don’t think she should do the Lives unless someone is with her because people are always taking screen shots and she can tell information that isn’t correct and stuff like that,” he wrote.

Mason said North might “regret” sharing their family’s personal information after “doing the exact same thing” and now regretting “saying one of the things” he mentioned on Live.
In the post, Mason seemed to allude to the time he revealed his Kylie Jenner, his aunt and her ex Travis Scott were “not back together” during an Instagram Live.
Kourtney welcomed Kris Jenner’s first grandchild, Mason, in 2009 during the season four finale of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
After Kim posted a photo of Mason and his cousins in December, followers commented on how much he has grown, comparing him to Uncle Rob Kardashian.
