Ronaldo’s first highest-scoring season came in England, when his performances for Man United during the 2007/2008 Champions League-winning season saw him receive the Premier League’s Golden Boot.
The Portugal captain equaled Alan Shearer’s record in 38 games that year by finding the net 31 times, before moving to Real Madrid just over a year later.
During his nine years in the Spanish capital, Ronaldo battled back and forth with Lionel Messi for the top scoring gong in LaLiga, beating the ex-Barcelona star three times.
Ronaldo then continued to impress after moving to Juventus, where he became Italy’s top scorer with 29 goals in 33 Serie A games.
