UFC fans in Perth are salivating after the news that the 2023 martial arts event will take place on the Australian coast.
WA Tourism Secretary Roger Cook will make the official announcement on Tuesday, flanked by current featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski.
Obviously, UFC 284 will take place on February 12 at the RAC Arena.
In 2018, more than 12,000 fans flocked to the same venue, featuring Cuba’s main fight Yoel Romero knocked out Luke Rockhold in the third round.
UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya also put on a show on his debut that night, earning the night’s performance against Rob ‘Razor’ Wilkinson.

It marked the rise of Adesanya to the top of the division.
Perth local Jack Della Maddalena is also tipped to appear in February.
Maddalena, 26, previously impressed in the Dana White Contender Series to earn a contract, before taking back-to-back first-round TKO wins in the octagon over Pete Rodriguez and Ramazan Emeev, Perth now reports.
Volkanovski’s final fight came in July when he took his professional record to 25-1 after beating Max Holloway.
It was his third win over the Hawaiian and secured his legendary status in the sport.
New Zealand-born middleweight Robert Whittaker is another big name who may be on the UFC 284 map.
After his impressive win over Italian Marvin Vettori in Paris last month, his coach Alex Prates ruled out a clash with Brazilian Paulo Costa in Rio de Janeiro at UFC 283 in the new year.
Instead, he revealed that Whittaker planned to return to the octagon in the West in February.
“It’s almost confirmed. UFC plans to hold an event in Perth in February and we’re going to fight for the title again,” Prates said at the time.
