And Greta Gerwig looked effortlessly chic as she stepped out for the star-studded premiere of The Wonder Friday night.

The actress, 39, showed her sophisticated sense of style in a flowy red dress with flowing sleeves and a v-neck design.

The blonde beauty increased her height with strappy black heels and accessorized her look with a large white leather clutch and gold rings.

She wore her light locks in loose waves over her shoulders and chose natural makeup to show off her beautiful features.

The beauty will then take on the role of a nurse in the historical drama The Wonder, which will be released on Netflix on November 16.

The role will be the actress’s first after the ongoing controversy surrounding her previous project, Don’t Worry Darling.

The film follows her character, English nurse Lib Wright, who travels to Ireland to care for a girl who miraculously survived months without food.

The official synopsis reads: ‘The Irish Midlands, 1862 – a young girl stops eating but miraculously stays alive and well. English nurse Lib Wright is taken to a small village to observe eleven-year-old Anna O’Donnell.

“Tourists and pilgrims gather to witness the girl who is said to have lived for months without food. Does the village harbor a saint who ‘survives on manna from heaven’ or are there more sinister motives at work?’

The psychological thriller, based on the novel by Emma Donoghue, is inspired by the 19th-century phenomenon of the ‘fasting girls’.

The film, starring Tom Burke, Toby Jones, Kila Lord Cassidy and Niamh Algar, is directed by Oscar winner Sebastián Lelio.
