Hilton Hotel, Surfers Paradise: Guests evacuated from Gold Coast hotel after fire

Guests have been evacuated from the Hilton Hotel on Surfers Paradise after a fire.

The fire is believed to have started in a unit on the 16th floor of the building, on Orchid Avenue.

Three fire engines were sent to the scene around 5:15 p.m.

The fire has been extinguished and guests have been safely evacuated from the building.
