Thanasi Kokkinakis’ girlfriend Hannah Dal Sasso reveals what she REALLY thinks of the term WAG
Thanasi Kokkinakis’ girlfriend Hannah Dal Sasso is not keen on the term WAG, an acronym for wives and girlfriends of professional athletes.
The Melbourne It girl would rather be known for her own merits than be someone’s partner.
“I know in football there are so many girlfriends and they are called WAGs, but in tennis there aren’t many and you never really see anyone called that,” she told the BBC. Herald Sun on Tuesday.
“I like having my own name and not being someone else’s partner,” she continued.
Elsewhere in the interview, Dal Sasso discussed the challenges of maintaining a long-distance relationship while Kokkinakis, 28, travels the world with his tennis career.

Hannah said she and Thanasi met “a few months ago” and she’s been traveling with him “for a while.”
Last May, Thanasi paid tribute to Hannah after claiming his first victory at the French Open, admitting she was his “first girlfriend, probably ever.”
‘[I’m a] Late bloomer, you might say, so I try, but that also comes with its challenges. But she has been great,” he said.
