Trump REJECTS claims he will ban the morning after pill just hours after suggesting he would limit contraception: ‘Another Democrat lie’

Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday dramatically retracted suggestions that he was open to the possibility of restricting certain forms of contraception.

The former president caused confusion after a interview with KDKA-TV host Jon Delano, who questioned him about the issue of birth control.

When Delano asked whether he supports any restrictions on women’s right to use contraception, Trump responded evasively.

“We’re looking at that, and I’m going to make policy on that soon,” he responded, adding, “It’s very interesting.”

After his muddled answer about what restrictions might be on the table, Trump later clarified his position in a dramatic Truth Social post.

“I HAVE NEVER, AND NEVER WILL, ADVOCATE RESTRICTIONS ON BIRTH CONTROL or other contraceptives,” he said. wrote on social media.

When asked about the morning-after pill, Trump was also evasive, noting that it depended on what state governments preferred.

“Things really have a lot to do with the states and some states will have different policies than others,” he said.

The Biden campaign quickly responded to Trump’s comments, claiming that the Republican presidential candidate was “open to limiting access to birth control and emergency contraceptives.”

“It is not enough for Trump that women’s lives are endangered, doctors are threatened with prison and extreme bans are issued with no exceptions for rape or incest,” Biden campaign spokesperson Sarafina Chitika said in a statement. “He also wants to take away our freedom to access contraception.”

Trump quickly responded to the Biden campaign’s accusation, accusing them of lying.

“This is a lie made up by the Democrats, MISINFORMATION/DISINFORMATION, because they have nothing but failure, poverty and death,” Trump wrote. “I don’t support a ban on birth control, and neither does the Republican Party!”

Vice President Kamala Harris condemned Trump’s comments and warned voters about his position on the issue.

“A second Trump term would mean more bans, more suffering and less freedom,” she says wrote on social media.
