Nancy Pelosi is interrupted by screaming anti-Israel protester while accepting award in San Francisco

Nancy Pelosi faced renewed criticism from anti-Israel protesters at an event where she received the Distinguished Citizen of the Year award in her hometown of San Francisco.

Pelosi, the former Speaker of the House of Representatives and still a powerful Democrat in Congress, received the award from the Harvard Club of San Francisco on the occasion of his 150th birthday.

The club praised the representative – who still represents San Francisco in the House of Representatives – for her “37-year career of outstanding leadership.”

However, as she accepted the award, a protester began yelling at Pelosi in a tirade that was captured on video.

“Congratulations, Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi,” she shouts. “What good is a scholarship if we use our Harvard money to retaliate and suppress and oppress our own students?”

She then asked, “What good can you do as a distinguished citizen if you support and encourage this war and this ongoing genocide in Palestine?”

The unidentified woman was very quickly escorted out of the event by security, but not before unleashing a few more rants.

‘Shame on you all here! You should be ashamed! How dare you do this? Where our own students are being attacked by your administration!’

Pelosi responded by saying that “we respect your right to have your say.”

However, she followed it up with a joke, adding, “Welcome to San Francisco, everyone,” to laughter from the audience.

Harvard’s Palestine Solidarity Committee said they also advocated for the university to withdraw from what they call “the illegal occupation of Palestine.”

This isn’t the first time Pelosi has been publicly confronted by protesters over her positions on Israel’s war against Hamas.

In April, her speech to the Oxford Union in Britain was interrupted by some pro-Palestinian protesters, days after she said such protests have a “Russian flavor.”

Outside the building, about 250 demonstrators chanted “liberate Palestine” and “end the genocide.”

The group was led by Youth Demand, which released a statement calling Pelosi a “warmonger.”

The ex-chairman and longtime Democratic leader gave a gift as part of the Benazir Bhutto Memorial.

Bhutto was the first woman to become prime minister of a Muslim country when she was chosen to lead Pakistan in the late 1980s and mid-1990s.

She was killed in 2007 when a gunman opened fire and detonated a suicide bomb at a political rally.

At the time, Pelosi questioned some of the motivations of the anti-Israel protesters.

“It’s in Putin’s interest that ‘What’s His Name’ wins, and that’s why I see some encouragement from the Russians,” said Pelosi, who typically avoids mentioning Donald Trump by name.

She defended President Biden’s response to the outbreak of war between Israel and Hamas.

‘[Biden] is now calling for a ceasefire. Whoever is opposing the ceasefire right now is Hamas,” Pelosi said.

She complained that protesters had shown up outside her home “at three in the morning” with signs reading “Genocide Joe.”

“I trust the sincerity of many of the protesters,” Pelosi continued. ‘It’s organic, it’s spontaneous, it’s real. But some of it, I think, has a Russian flavor.”

Pelosi has previously called for an FBI investigation into pro-Palestinian protesters, claiming they are financially backed by Russia.
