Steph Curry has unfollowed Diddy on Instagram after the troubled American rapper admitted to hitting his ex-girlfriend and pop star Cassie amid abuse allegations.
According to the celebrity and entertainment-focused X account “Say Cheese!” removed NBA player Diddy from his followers on X and Instagram on Tuesday – just a month after Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes did the same.
Last week, Diddie shared a video apologizing for punching his ex-partner Cassie, whom he dated from 2007 to 2018, in a hotel hallway in 2016 after CNN released footage of the attack, saying he ‘really regretted’ and described his behaviour. actions as ‘unforgivable’.
The security video shows Combs, wearing only a white towel, punching and kicking Cassie, an R&B singer, before pushing and dragging her and throwing a vase in her direction.
Cassie, whose legal name is Cassandra Ventura, sued Combs in November for years of sexual, physical and emotional abuse. The lawsuit was settled the next day but led to intense scrutiny of Combs, and several more lawsuits were filed in the following months, along with a federal criminal sex trafficking investigation that led authorities to search Combs’ mansions in Los Angeles and Miami to invade.
According to an online source, Steph Curry has stopped following Sean Diddy on X and Instagram

He had denied the allegations in the lawsuits, but neither he nor his representatives had commented on the newly emerged video until Sunday.
“It’s so hard to think about the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you have to,” Diddy says in the video. He adds: “I went and sought professional help. I started going to therapy, going to rehab. I had to ask God for His mercy and grace. I’m very sorry. But I am determined to be a better man every day. I don’t ask for forgiveness. I am really sorry.’
Looking somber and wearing a T-shirt in the selfie-style apology video, Combs appears to be on a patio. It is the hip-hop mogul’s most direct response and first apology after six months of accusations that have threatened his reputation and career.
In December, after Ventura and at least three other women filed lawsuits against him, Combs posted a statement on Instagram broadly denying the truth of all of them.
“Let me make this absolutely clear. I have not done any of the horrible things alleged,” the post said.
This frame shot, taken from hotel security camera video and broadcast by CNN, appears to show Sean “Diddy” Combs attacking singer Cassie in a Los Angeles hotel hallway in March 2016
The security camera video, dated March 5, 2016, is very similar to the description of an incident at an InterContinental Hotel in the Century City area of Los Angeles detailed in Ventura’s lawsuit.
Combs is not in danger of facing criminal charges for the assault. The statutes of limitations on the assault and battery charges he was likely to face expired years ago.
The same goes for many of the allegations in the lawsuits, but the federal investigators tracking Combs are likely looking for possible crimes to bring under the law.
Ventura signed with Diddy’s label in 2005. The two had been in a romantic relationship for more than ten years.
